Underuse of Radiotherapy in Lung Cancer Has Negative Consequences for Patients

Abstract: The observed underuse of radiotherapy in lung cancer in our region should be a matter of concern, given its negative and measurable impact on the survival of the patients.

“…El tratamiento quimioterápico se ha afianzado y predomina con porcentajes algo mayores del 50%, de acuerdo a lo encontrado en otros estudios españoles 22,26 , mientras que la cirugía con sus lógicas variaciones en los diferentes años llega a una media en el entorno del 15%, similar o algo inferior a la referida en otros trabajos españoles 22,23,29 .
