“…Los estudios en esta línea se han centrado fundamentalmente en estimar la sincronización entre los ciclos con estudios de la Unión Europea (UE), para ver si ante medidas de política estabilizadoras, todos los países miembros reaccionan igual y sufren las mismas consecuencias; destacando los trabajos de Harding y Pagan (2002), Artis et al (2004), Massman y Mitchell (2004), Darvas y Szapáry (2004), Camacho et al (2005Camacho et al ( , 2006, Baxter y Kouparitsas (2005), Krolzing y Toro (2005), Böwer y Guillemineau (2006), Cendejas et al (2006) y Maudos et al (2008); o bien, en los países del G7 mostrando una mayor estabilidad del ciclo económico de estos países en las últimas dos décadas (Stock y Watson, 2003), y en la OCDE (Cancelo y Uriz, 2001;Lumsdaine y Prasad, 2002;Kaufmann, 2003;Artis et al, 2004;Bovi, 2005, y Cotis y Coppel, 2005. Sin embargo, son pocos los trabajos que tratan de evaluar el ciclo a nivel mundial como es el informe del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) de octubre de 2007, que en su capítulo 5 recoge un análisis exhaustivo de los cambios en la dinámica de un ciclo económico global para 133 países, o bien, los trabajos de Dées y Vansteenkiste (2007) y Kose et al (2008); así como los trabajos anteriores en esta línea de Kose et al (2003), y Kose et al (2003Kose et al ( , 2005 2 . En este trabajo se trata de tener una visión general de lo que ha ocurrido en cuanto a la defi nición del ciclo, así como de las técnicas empleadas para su estimación tanto a nivel individual como conjuntamente.…”
