“…There is some evidence supporting the existence of a relationship between the characteristics of the environment surrounding schools and students' SSB consumption [ 37 , 38 ]. A Canadian study found SSB consumption to be lower in schools located in communities with a postsecondary education institution (OR = 0.89; p = 0.006 comparing no consumption to one), lower in schools reporting to limit availability of SSB (OR = 0.85; p = 0.02), and lower among girls (OR = 0.49; p < 0.001) but not significantly different between the school settings (rural, suburban, or rural) [ 39 ].…”

This enabled statements about the accessibility and quality of fountains for the whole city.…”

“…Nevertheless, research on public drinking fountains in the scientific literature is fairly limited 1,2 and we only identified one small study in our own country – New Zealand 3 . Therefore, to provide a case study that examined all public fountains in a city, we aimed to survey all publically mapped fountains and to characterise their distribution and quality.…”

This result placed the impact of ensuring clean water access at the community level in the category of promising quality.…”
