Abstract:O artigo tem como objetivo investigar a construção do diagnóstico de loucura epidêmica, produzido em torno da epidemia de abasia coreiforme propagada no subúrbio de Itapagipe, em Salvador, no ano de 1882, defendido pelo médico maranhense Raimundo Nina Rodrigues (1862-1906).
