Abstract:SUMMARY:The purpose of this paper was to study the sensory myelinated and unmyelinated nerve fibers found in the subepithelial lamina propria of tongue mucosa of aging rats. It was used the silver impregnation, transmission electron microscopy methods and morphometric measurements.
