“…Hence, by compiling the results, the authors succeed in minimizing the temperature cross-talk . In a similar manner, a number of studies can be found in the literature. , However, this method has not been utilized yet in the case of optical fiber interferometry-based refractive index or biochemical sensors. The reason may be the fabrication of FBG on microfiber platforms, PCF, especially designed microstructure fiber is tricky.…”

“…Several properties such as flexibility, hardness, and temperature coefficient are important while designing such a casing. One of the possible solutions, which researchers have utilized broadly in fiber-based configurations, is where a fiber bragg grating is fabricated very near to the sensing region and the temperature response is recorded. After the measurements, with a correlation of temperature change in sensor response, one can easily diminish the response obtained due to the temperature fluctuations. A similar study has also been performed using dual fiber bragg grating on the tip of microfiber.…”

“…Laser processing as the most popular application mainly involves four laser writing technologies according to different heating lasers: ultraviolet laser (UV laser) [ 41 , 42 ], excimer laser [ 43 ], femtosecond laser [ 31 ] and CO 2 laser [ 44 ], that can fabricate the specific fiber grating structures, grooving, and heating in optical fibers with different characteristics based on specific needs. At present, the most popular treatment methods widely used in fiber grating coupled SPR sensors are CO 2 lasers.…”

“…For this reason, it is usually essential to change the geometry of the optical fiber structure by a special processing method to break the original optical transmission mode. Later, more and more fiber structures, such as tapered optical fiber (TOF) [ 28 ], D-shaped [ 29 ], U-shaped [ 30 ], and the fiber grating structure [ 29 , 31 ], have appeared on the stage. These different optical fiber structures need to be realized by special corresponding optical fiber processing equipment.…”
