Über Neo‐phäoporphyrin a<sub>6</sub>, über Oxy‐methylphäophorbid, seine Dihydroverbindung und Allo‐phäoporphyrin a<sub>7</sub>

Abstract:The most convenient and direct route to ahydroxy-b-dicarbonyl compounds is the oxidation of readily accessible 1,3-dicarbonyls. Hence, this type of oxidation is an intensively investigated field. In this short review, we present and compare a-hydroxylations using various oxidants such as peracids (Rubottom oxidation), dimethyldioxirane or molecular oxygen. From an economical and ecological point of view, metal-catalyzed air oxidations are optimal at least for cyclic b-dicarbonyls. For asymmetric ahydroxylations only chiral sulfonyloxaziridines are available to date. Thus, there is still a need for significant development in this area.

Im Chlorophyll b ist, wie besonders aus den Untersuchungen von C o n a n t z, und W a r b u r g3) hervorgeht, eine Ketogruppe enthalten und i n der I. Mitteilung iiber Chlorophyll b sind wir zu dem Resultat gekommen, daB diese Ketogruppe wahrscheinlich im Propionsaurerest sitzt. Wir haben die Untersnchung fortgesetzt und zunachst Phaophorbid b, das wir noch nicht der Analyse nnterzogen hatten, auf seine Zusammensetzung gepriift. Wir ktiniien die Analysenzahlen von W i l l s t a t t e r be~tatigen.~) Phaophorbid b besitzt die Zusammensetzung C,,H,,O,N, und ist ein Monomethylester. Fur die Gewinnung von Phlophorbid b haben wir ausschlieBlich nach den Methoden W i l l s t a t t e r s selbst dargestelltes Phiiophytin verwandt, das rnit Hilfe der N e u m annschen Extralrtionsapparate, wie in der I.
