Piach dern Erkdten wird in uberschiiss. Natriumcarbonatlosung gegossen. Das Ungeloste wird in wah.-mcthanol. Natronlauge gelfist und ttus der filtriert.cn Losung durch Einleiten von Kohlensaure die Yerc.apto-~crbindiing itusgefiillt. Gchmp. nach xwcimaligem IJmlosen aus Methanol 203O. C,,H,,ONS (293.2) Ber. 8 10.62 Gef. S 10.63. 6 g dicxer Verbindung werdcn in 100 ccm Aceton mit 3 g Kaliumcarbonat und 2.5 g 1-Chlor-2-diiithylarnino-athan untcr Riihren 12 Stdn. erhitzt. Es wird allgesaugt, das Aceton abgcdampft und der Rurkstand in Ather aufgcnornmcm. Die ather. Losung wird mit verd. Sdzsdurc ausgcschtittclt und aus der Salzsiurelosung mit Bafiumcarbonat die Bast. wieder freigemacht; diese wird mit Ather ausgeschuttelt und blcibt nach dern Verdampfcn dcs Athcrs als 01 zuriick, das das 7-Methoxy-4-[diathylamino-athylm e r c a p to] -2 methyl-3-h e p t y l -c h i no1 i n (!UH,,0N,8 (402.4) darstellt. 4.00 g verbr. zur Neutralisation 10 ccm n HCl; ber. 9.95. H y d r i c r u n g v on 4 -0 x y -7 -m e t h o x y -2 -m e t h y 1 -3 -a 11 yl -chi noli n : 5 g werden in 50 ccm Methanol und 5 ccrn 30-proz. Natrdnlauge gelost und nnch Zusatz von 0.2 g Platinoxyd unter WasserRtoff geschuttelt. Nach Aufnahme von 500 ccm Waseerstoff (ber. 540 ccm) kommt die Hydrierung zum Stillstand. ER wird vom Kittalysator abfiltriert und aus dern Filtrat mit verd. Essigsiiure 4 -0 x y -7m e t h o x y -2m e t h y 1 -3p r o p y 1chinolin ausgefallt; Schmp. (nach dern Umlosen mit Athnnol) 205O.Mit dem aus m-Anisidin und Propylacetessigester hcrgcstellten Praparat tritt keine Schmelzpunkts-Erniedrigung ein. Damit ist fur diese Verbindung die 7-Stellung der Mcthoxypruppc hctwiesen.
