U centres in alkali iodides

Abstract: Exact changes in force constant due to H-substitution (U centres) in alkali iodides are systematically analysed using Green's function technique. NaI :H-, KI:H-, Rb1:H-, and Cs1:H-systems are considered. There is a weakening of the force constant varying from 50% to 63% depending on the mass of the neighbour in the host lattice.Die genauen Anderungen der Kraftkonstante in Alkalijodid, die durch H--Substitution (UZentren) verursacht werden, werden systematisch mit der Technik Greenscher Funktionen analysiert. “…In order to decelerate the fast cross-linking of Fe 3+ with the carboxyl groups and to avoid the hard shell, we introduced HCl into FeCl 3 solution, because the bonding of Fe 3+ to PAA is decreased at low pH. [12,13,40,41] This is due to the competition binding of Fe 3+ ions and H + ions to the COO − groups at PAA, which shifts to COOH formation at high H + concentration. Therefore, the crosslinking between Fe 3+ and COO − is declined at low pH.…”

“…The thermal decomposition behavior of a (NaAlg/AAm)IPN-dye systems depends on the macromolecular characteristics of the polymer support and the type of coordination geometry. 10 The decomposition of (NaAlg/AAm)IPN hydrogel occurred in a five-stage process (Fig. 13).…”

“…The existence of HHM soft component in elastomer was proved by FTIR ( Figure S3, black line, Supporting Information). The component of Zn 2+ coordinated with low molecular weight PAA was characterized by FTIR spectra [32,35] and EDX, and the results were shown in Figures S3-S5 and Table S1, Supporting Information. The theoretical and measured values of the Zn 2+ content were listed in Table S2, Supporting Information.…”

“…The fatigue properties of elastomers reflected the internal evolution after numerous cycles of mechanical loads. [32] The tensile stress-strain hysteresis and fracture stress were mea sured to elucidate the fatigue damage in the dual-component coordination supramolecular elastomer. Typical testing in a tensile (10 mm min −1 ) loading-unloading mode and a compressive (10 mm min −1 ) mode was carried out to observe the fatigue fracture.…”
