“…(a) The French version (Rioux, 2004) of the Space Appropriation scale (A-E) drawn up by Morval and Judge, 2000. It has been used with teachers (Barbillon, Moch and Rioux, 2006) and students (Rioux, 2008), and its psychometric properties are entirely satisfactory (GFI = .93, AGFI = .93, Chi square (df = 78) = 435.38, RMSEA = .07).…”

“…We examine time appropriation in terms of recurrent time units (hour, day, week, year) and time regions (past, present and future), and we address the appropriation processes related to these time periods in the sub-dimensions of a) identi cation, b) meaning, c) emotion, d) ownership, e) transformativeness, f) sociability and g) physical environment in the present study. We have prepared these dimensions based on the conceptual de nition of the appropriation (Korosec- Serfaty, 1976Serfaty, , 1984Serfaty, , 1985 and the way some empirical studies addressed the concept (e.g., Brunson et al, 2001;Morval & Judge, 2000;Rioux, 2004;Rioux et al, 2017). New sub-dimensions (e.g., transformativeness) were even added to the conceptual map by making new connections between the de nition of the concept and the participants' responses.…”
