Two New and Highly Apomorphic Species of the Lasioglossum Subgenus Evylaeus (Hymenoptera: Halictidae) from Central America

Abstract: Two new and apomorphic members of the Lasioglossum subgenus Evylaeus from Panama and Costa Rica are described. These species inhabit cloud forest habitats in Central America, an area and habitat not normally associated with high species diversity for bees in the genus Lasioglossum.
