“…These observations are in good agreement with atomic force microscopy results, 29,30 which revealed the existence of LDH nanosheets of an average height prole 1.2-2 nm. Considering this, we can assume the LDH layer on the surface of QD@silica nanospheres corresponds to only a few (two to three) unilamellar nanosheets.…”

“…A uniform layer of approximately 2.5 -3 nm LDH nanosheets was deposited on the surface of the QD@silica nanospheres, as indicated by the electron microscopy images Figure 1. These observations are in good agreement with atomic force microscopy results, 28,29 which revealed the existence of LDH nanosheets of an average height profile 1.2-2 nm. Considering this, we can assume the LDH layer on the surface of QD@silica nanospheres corresponds to only a few (two to three) unilamellar nanosheets.…”

“…Compared with unexfoliated LDHs, the delaminated unilamellar LDH nanosheets with positive charges exhibited an enhanced ability to adsorb DNA [22]. The LDH nanosheets MgAl-lactate-NS exhibited a much higher DNA adsorption capacity than that of MgAl-acetate-NS, which suggested that the adsorption capacity of LDH nanosheets was also related to interlaminar anions [11].…”

“…In 2015, Hara et al prepared C 3 H 7 COO–NiZn-LDH and found that it had catalytic activity and selectivity . Many studies showed that acetate also could be successfully intercalated into LDHs by coprecipitation or anion exchange method. , While Cheng et al, in 2014, proved that acetate, terephthalate (TA), and p -toluate (pTA) could be intercalated into LDHs not only respectively, but also simultaneously with certain proportions . These studies indicate that the extraction of SCFAs from anaerobic fermentation liquid via the synthesis of LDHs is feasible.…”
