Twenty Years of Experimental Determinations of Thermophysical Properties with High Accuracy: Thermodynamics Laboratory, ESIQIE-IPN, México

Abstract: In 1997, a new thermodynamic laboratory was create from scratch. Throughout 20 years of work, this laboratory has performed and reported experimental determinations of thermophysical properties, such as phase equilibria (VLE, SLE, SLVE), critical points of pure fluids and mixtures, volumetric properties (PvT), dynamic viscosities, supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), and studies on the formation of gas hydrates. Over time, experimental systems have been designed, developed, and/or modified according to the ex… Show more

“…Many experiments focusing on the density and swelling effect of alkane/CO 2 systems have been carried out. A very recent review study by Zhao et al summarized that the saturated and compressed-liquid densities of decane/CO 2 solutions have been measured comprehensively with temperatures reaching 510.9 K and pressures up to 76.4 MPa. However, density data for other alkane/CO 2 systems are limited to a certain range of pressure and temperature at the phase-equilibrium and compressed-liquid states.…”
