“…Con el fin de incorporar medios digitales procedentes de las distintas culturas periodísticas descritas por Hallin y Mancini (2004), se ha valorado la necesidad de contar con diarios de referencia en el espacio comunicativo catalán y español (Ara, El Punt Avui, VilaWeb, Nació Digital, El Nacional, La Vanguardia, El Periódico de Catalunya, El País y El Mundo), y también con cinco rotativos de calidad de cuatro contextos comunicativos diferentes (Estados Unidos de América, Reino Unido, Francia y Alemania). Los medios internacionales seleccionados (The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, Le Monde y Süddeutsche Zeitung) son reconocidos como instituciones periodísticas capaces de marcar la agenda en sus países y más allá de sus fronteras, por lo que han sido empleados de forma recurrente como objeto de estudio en investigaciones comparativas sobre la cobertura mediática de atentados terroristas (Altheide, 2007;El-Nawawy y Elmasry, 2017;Matthews, 2016;Morin, 2016;Roman et al, 2019).…”
