Türkiye’nin Erzurum İlinde İnsan Tüketimi İçin Satılan İstavrit Balıklarında (Trachurus trachurus) Anisakis pegreffii’nin Moleküler Tanısı

Abstract: SummaryThis study was planned to identify six parasites detected in horse mackerels (Trachurus trachurus) sold for human consumption in Erzurum province. DNA extraction was performed on six parasites diagnosed as nematode. Species identification was done by PCR and PCR-RFLP analysis of ITS (ITS-1, 5.8S subunit rRNA gene and ITS-2) region of ribosomal DNA (rDNA) and partial sequencing of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (mt-CO1) and mt-CO2 genes. According to the PCR and PCR-RFLP results, all parasi… Show more

“…In the present study, Anisakis pegreffii were recovered within the body cavity, liver, gonad and muscles of chub mackerel (S. japonicus) caught in the Dardanelles, Çanakkale. Similarly, Trachurus trachurus (Mattiucci et al, 2008;Utuk et al, 2012), S. japonicus, Scomber scombrus, Micromesistius poutassou, Merluccius merluccius, Trachurus mediterraneus, Mullus barbatus (Pekmezci et al, 2014) and Zeus faber (Yardimci et al, 2014) were the fish intermediate hosts for A. pegreffii in the Turkish seas.…”

“…In previous studies, 98-100% of many living species, including aquatic organisms, have been successfully identified using a small part of the cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene (Aravind et al, 2007). Although some studies in Turkey in which COI was used in fishery products (Keskin et al, 2012;Utuk et al, 2012;Parmaksız et al, 2017), there are scarcely any studies on the species from the genus Diplodus.…”
