Some water quality parameters (Secchi disk depth, water temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, chlorophyll a, NO2-N, NO3-N, NH4-N, PO4-P) and zooplankton fauna were determined in the Kozan Dam Lake. While the quality of the reservoir water was first class water in terms of temperature, dissolved oxygen, NH4-N, PO4-P, it was second-class water in terms of conductivity, pH, NO3-N. In total, 50 zooplankton species belonging to 26 families were determined (29 species belonging to 17 families from Rotifera, 15 species belonging to 7 families from Cladocera and 6 species belonging to 2 families from Copepoda). Brachionidae (Rotifera) was the most species rich family with 7 species, followed by Chydoridae (Cladocera) and Cyclopidae (Copepoda) with 6 and 5 species respectively. The most dominant species were Synchaeta pectinata (38.33%) from Rotifera, Bosmina longirostris (5.71%) from Cladocera and Cyclops vicinus (0.67%) from Copepoda. At the same time, the species found in every month were Asplanchna priodonta, Polyarthra dolichoptera, Bosmina longirostris, Ceriodaphnia pulchella, Cyclops vicinus and Diacyclops bicuspidatus. In the study, Rotifera was the most abundant group with 67%, followed by Cladocera with 29% and Copepoda with 4%. On the other hand, total Rotifera was found mostly in December (10099 individual/ m 3 ), Cladocera in January (4928 ind./m 3 ) and Copepoda in September (1091 ind./m 3 ).Öz: Kozan Baraj Gölü'nde bazı su kalitesi parametreleri (Secchi derinliği, su sıcaklığı, çözünmüş oksijen, pH, iletkenlik, klorofil a, NO2-N, NO3-N, NH4-N, PO4-P) ve zooplankton faunası belirlenmiştir. Baraj gölü suyu sıcaklık, çözünmüş oksijen, NH4-N, PO4-P açısından birinci sınıf su iken, iletkenlik, pH, NO3-N açısından ikinci sınıf sudur. Rotifera'dan 17 familyaya ait 29 tür, Kladosera'dan 7 familyaya ait 15 tür ve Kopepoda'dan 2 familyaya ait 6 tür olmak üzere toplam 50 tür tespit edilmiştir. Brachionidae (Rotifera) 7 türle en zengin familya olup, bunu 6 ve 5 tür ile Chydoridae (Cladocera) ve Cyclopidae (Copepoda) familyalarının takip ettikleri belirlenmiştir. En baskın türün Rotifera'dan Synchaeta pectinata (%38,33), Kladosera'dan Bosmina longirostris (%5.71) ve Kopepoda'dan Cyclops vicinus (%0.67) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada her ay bulunan türler rotiferlerden Asplanchna priodonta, Polyarthra dolichoptera, kladoserlerden Bosmina longirostris, Ceriodaphnia pulchella, kopepodlardan Cyclops vicinus ve Diacyclops bicuspidatus'tur. Çalışmada Rotifera'nın %67 ile en çok bulunan grubu oluşturduğu, bunu %29 ile Kladosera'nın ve %4 ile Kopepoda'nın takip ettiği bulunmuştur. Öte yandan toplam Rotifera'nın en çok Aralık'ta (10.099 birey/m 3 ), Kladosera'nın Ocak'ta (4.928 birey/m 3 ) ve Kopepoda'nın Eylül'de (1.091 birey/m 3 ) bulundukları belirlenmiştir.

This study was carried out to determine the diversity, abundance and seasonal distribution of microcrustacea (Cladocera, Copepoda) in Kadıköy Reservoir. For this purpose, microcrustacea and water samples were taken at monthly intervals from March 2010 to February 2011 in three different stations from the reservoir. As a result of qualitative and quantitative analyses of the samples, a total of 27 taxa, 19 taxa from Cladocera and 8 taxa from Copepoda were identified. The quantitative evaluation of the samples revealed an average value of 51463 ind/m 3 in the reservoir. The annual average values according to the groups were 33766 ind/m 3 (66%) for Cladocera and 17697 ind/m 3 (34%) for Copepoda. According to the water quality standards, the temperature, pH, nitrate nitrogen, sulphate and phosphate were found at first and second quality levels. In terms of dissolved oxygen the water was found at first quality level, nitrite nitrogen was found between second and third quality levels. Microcrustacea fauna and physicochemical parameters were evaluated together and the reservoir was concluded to be a meso-eutrophic water body Kadıköy Barajı'nın (Edirne/Türkiye) Planktonik Microcrustacea (Copepoda, Cladocera) Faunası ve Mevsimsel Değişimi ÖzetBu araştırma Kadıköy baraj gölünün planktonik Microcrustacea (Cladocera, Copepoda) faunasını ve mevsimsel dağılımını belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla baraj gölünde belirlenen üç istasyonda Mart 2010-Şubat 2011 tarihleri arasında aylık periyotlar halinde plankton ve su örnekleri alınmıştır. Plankton örneklerinin kalitatif ve kantitatif değerlendirmesi sonucunda Cladocera'da 19 Copepoda'da 8 tür bulunurken baraj gölünde yıllık ortalama 51463 birey/m 3 microcrustacea bulunmuştur. Bu organizmalardan 33766 birey/m 3 (%66) Cladocera ve 17697 birey/m 3 (%34) Copepoda grubuna aittir. Kadıköy baraj gölünde ölçülen çevresel parametreler Yüzeysel Su Kalitesi Yönetmeliği'ne göre değerlendirilmiş ve göl suyu su sıcaklığı, pH, Nitrat, Sulfat ve Fosfat acısından I ila II; Çözünmüş oksijen açısından I; Nitrit açısından III ila IV sınıf su kalitesi arasında değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Distribution of rotifers of high mountain lakes in the Eastern Black Sea Range of Turkey

Six expeditions were conducted in 2005-2007 on the rotifer fauna of 59 high mountain lakes of the Eastern Black Sea Range.All of the lakes are located at altitudes between 2530 and 3370 m except Uzungöl (1100 m). A total of 63 rotifer taxa were identified. All of the taxa that were identified are new records for their localities except Notholca squamula and Cephalodella gibba. Dissotrocha macrostyla, Hexarthra jenkinae, Lecane clara, Lecane kluchor, and Lecane latissima are new records for the Turkish inland water fauna. The trophic classification based on the orthophosphate includes 22 lakes as ultraoligotrophic and 37 lakes as oligotrophic; by Secchi depth, 20 lakes are ultraoligotrophic, 12 lakes oligotrophic, and 27 lakes mesotrophic. Rotifer species richness showed a decrease with altitude (20 species in Lake Uzungöl with an altitude of 1100 m and 4 species in Lake Deniz with an altitude of 3370 m). We propose that 80% of the rotifer taxa were indicators of oligotrophic conditions and the remaining 20% were indicators of mesotrophic conditions.
