Abstract

The world is being digitalized with the changing era and rapidly developing technological infrastructures. With this digital revolution, production and consumption processes have changed, as well as the direction of tourism demand and expectations. The tourism sector differs from other sectors with its ability to quickly adapt to innovations. Crypto coins are used almost everywhere in the world today. Turkey is one of the countries that use the most cryptocurrencies in Europe. Therefore, the use of cryptocurrencies in the tourism sector should also be studied academically. The use of cryptocurrencies can be considered the epitome of the future financial system. With the use of cryptocurrencies, tourism businesses also provide a competitive advantage. SWOT analysis was applied in the study designed to examine the usability of increasingly widespread crypto coins in the tourism sector. In the study; Suggestions have been developed for tourism businesses. The article aims to provide information about cryptocurrencies and give an idea to tourism businesse.
