“…Chemodynamic therapy (CDT), an emerging therapeutic strategy, was defined as in situ treatment using the Fenton reaction or Fenton-like reaction to transform intracellular hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) to reactive oxygen species (ROS, e.g., superoxide radical O 2 •- and hydroxyl radical HO·) in tumor sites for triggering cell apoptosis 9 - 15 .
