Tropical hilsa shad (Tenualosa ilisha): Biology, fishery and management

Abstract: Tropical hilsa shad, which is an anadromous fish migrating from the sea to spawn in freshwater river, constitutes an important fishery in some Asian and Middle East countries, particularly in Bangladesh.
