The selective reactivity of cyanuryl chloride toward Grignard reagent of p ‐bromostyrene at 0 °C provides an opportunity to yield monosubstituted triazine 1 , which was then converted to 2 by replacing the remaining two chlorine atoms with 4‐ tert ‐butylphenylboronic acid via Suzuki reaction 37–39.
