Treatment of Juvenile Laryngeal Papillomatosis with Two Types of Interferon

Abstract: The successful application of fibroblast and leucocyte interferon in the treatment of juvenile laryngeal papillomatosis in two patients with papillomas extending down into the lower airways is reported. The papillomas recurred during interruption of interferon ad ministration. This indicates that the regression of papillomas is a genuine effect of interferon and not merely a reflection of the capricious natural course of the disease.
