Trayectorias del control estatal sobre los recursos naturales en América Latina

Abstract

The context of the economic policies of the region in which the models of economic growth are inscribed is presented in a general way, an aspect that marks a direct relationship with the aspects that the region played in the aftermath of the economic crisis of the 1980s and that brings with it the adoption of the Washington consensus policies that allowed extractive uses of resources and a vision in which fiscal balance is related to the vision on the exploitation of new areas, in particular energy mining resources. There are some effects of structural adjustment policies on natural resources and how there is a shift towards the so-called commodity consensus.
