Traveling-wave semiconductor laser amplifiers for optical communications systems

Abstract: Abstruct-Optical amplification is a key technology for future optical communications systems. The latest state of the art for semiconductor laser amplifiers (SLAs) is reviewed, as well as future possibilities for SLAs.
