Traumatic Autoplastic Implants of Splenic Tissue

Abstract: Clinical experience with 57 transfusions of platelet concentrates in 28 patients with thrombocytopenic purpura is reviewed. These concentrates were prepared from normal blood and were given to control active bleeding or to assist hemostasis at surgery. Their use usually was followed by a beneficial effect, which generally lasted from one to several days.
