We conducted a bibliometric analysis of existing published articles on Buyer-Supplier Relationships (BSR) by extracting the data from the Scopus database. This analysis covered the period (1983 to 2023), using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny R for data analysis and visualization. The findings of this research reveal insights. For example, research on BSR was conducted in 63 countries, with the United States having the highest number of articles, followed by the United Kingdom and China, respectively. The study provides information regarding the top journals for BSR publications and highlights influential authors and institutions. In this way, we performed a co-occurrence analysis of indexed keywords, which emerged as five distinct clusters: operations and quality management, sustainable and innovative supply chain, digital transformation, supply chain economics and strategic advantage. Furthermore, we discovered potential research areas during thematic mapping, such as strategic planning, sustainable development, and information sharing in BSR. This study provides valuable insights and information into the current status and future sustainability of BSR research for different communities, such as buyers, suppliers, managers and research scholars.

This concept paper proposes the integration of accounting models with supply chain management in the aerospace industry as a strategic approach to enhancing efficiency and reducing costs in the United States. The aerospace sector faces numerous challenges, including complex supply chains, stringent regulatory requirements, and cost pressures. By combining accounting principles with supply chain management strategies, this approach aims to optimize operations, improve financial transparency, and foster collaboration among stakeholders. Key objectives of this initiative include streamlining financial processes, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and mitigating risks associated with supply chain disruptions. By leveraging accounting models such as activity-based costing, lean accounting, and performance measurement systems, organizations can gain insights into cost structures, identify inefficiencies, and allocate resources effectively across the supply chain. Moreover, integrating accounting with supply chain management enables real-time monitoring of financial performance metrics, enabling timely interventions and adjustments to achieve strategic goals. This approach also facilitates better coordination between finance and operations teams, leading to improved communication, alignment of objectives, and ultimately, enhanced organizational performance. In the context of the aerospace industry, where precision, reliability, and cost-efficiency are paramount, this integrated approach offers significant benefits. It enables companies to optimize inventory management, minimize waste, and identify opportunities for cost savings throughout the supply chain. Additionally, by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making, organizations can adapt more effectively to market dynamics and gain a competitive edge. The problem statement establishes the direction to assess the complex relationships between Procurement 4.0, Sustainable Supply Chain Performance, and the Procurement Process Optimization within the context of modern supply chain management. This study will help organizations in directional understanding about, how to create synergy between the procurement practices and sustainability goals, while emphasizing the role of procurement process optimization and organizational capabilities. We review food manufacturers in Pakistan and dissect study results utilizing the “PLS-SEM” way to deal with test the research hypothesis and the theoretical framework. Finally a simulation of the sample business process supported in the valuation of how the procurement 4.0 automation can enhance the procurement cycle and further progress the sustainability performance in supply chain. This empirical study shows that procurement process optimization serves as a mediator in this conceptual framework and that Procurement 4.0 strategy, planning, and performance review positively influence the performance of a sustainable supply chain. We are able to develop a solid plan to direct future SSCM and SSCP research based on the trends and gaps that we discovered through our analysis.
