This research explores the implementation of Arabic language learning at the Maitreechit Withayattan School in Bangkok, Thailand. With a population dominated by a Muslim minority, this research aims to understand the challenges and potential for developing Arabic language education in this context. The research background reflects Thailand's uniqueness as an ASEAN country with a Muslim minority that is recognized and regulated by national law. The focus of the research is on issues of student interest, teaching methods, hidden learning goals, and the role of teachers in the learning process. The research method uses modern ethnographic studies at Maitrechit Wittaayathan School Bangkok. Research findings show that students' low interest is influenced by less innovative teaching methods and a need for more variety in learning. Hidden learning goals, which include students' political aspirations to support the position of Muslims in government, become a complex dynamic in Arabic language learning. The importance of Arabic in the government context was a significant finding, with students being taught that Arabic language skills can provide a competitive advantage in careers in the government sector. Despite challenges regarding student interest, school administrators' high enthusiasm for Arabic creates the potential for solid collaboration between education and religious identity development. Implications for Arabic language education management include the need for more exciting learning strategies, teacher training, and collaboration with external parties to increase the relevance of learning to careers. This research provides in-depth insight into the complex dynamics of Arabic language education in Muslim minority school environments in Thailand. However, it should be acknowledged that the research findings are limited to one school in Bangkok, and generalization of the findings must be done cautiously.

The vast majority of modern Islamic boarding schools no longer use the 'kitab kuning' as the primary material in their learning process but instead use various other books as a source of learning material. As a Modern Islamic Boarding School of Al-Istiqomah Ngatabaru has its model in learning the 'kitab kuning'. This study looks at the various models and evaluations of the 'kitab kuning' learning model at the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Al-Istiqomah Ngarabaru, Sigi Regency. The type of research used in this research is field research with a qualitative approach. Primary data in this study were obtained from the statement of the teaching team of Modern Islamic Boarding School of Al-Istiqomah Ngarabaru. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman method. The study results show that implementing 'kitab kuning' learning at the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Al-Istiqomah Ngarabaru used the direct instruction model and problem-based learning. The use of the model contributes to increasing students' capacity to learn the 'kitab kuning'. The deepening of the study of the 'kitab kuning' education at the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru is realized through the 'fathul kutub' program, which specifically discusses the science of fiqh, tafsir and hadith related to issues that thrive in society. In general, the Modern Islamic Boarding School of Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru has an evaluation of classroom learning and learning evaluation of the 'fathul kutub' program. The review includes daily, written, oral, and action tests. Mayoritas pesantren modern tidak lagi menggunakan kitab kuning sebagai bahan utama dalam proses pembelajarannya, melainkan menggunakan berbagai kitab lain sebagai sumber bahan belajarnya. Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqomah Ngatabaru mempunyai model tersendiri dalam proses pembelajaran kitab kuning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat berbagai model dan evaluasi model pembelajaran kitab kuning di Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqomah Ngarabaru Kabupaten Sigi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data primer dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari pernyataan tim pengajar Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqomah Ngarabaru. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran kitab kuning di Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqomah Ngarabaru menggunakan model direct instruction, dan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Urgensi pendidikan karakter dikembangkan karena, salah satu bidang pembangunan nasional yang sangat penting dan menjadi fondasi kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa, dan bernegara dalam pembangunan karakter bangsa. Society 5.0 adalah konsep dan strategi yang tujuannya sama dengan SDGs. Salah satu upaya dalam mendukung Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 adalah pendidikan karakter. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan di Ponpes Al-Manar, Jambi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis urgensi nilai berkehidupan bermasyarakat pada era society 5.0 melalui pengembangan penulisan cerpen. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif yang diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penentuan validitas data dilakukan dengan menggunakan triangulasi dan teknik analisis data menggunakan interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman. Hasil observasi ini, terlihat guru dan santri pondok pesantren sangat antusias dan bersemangat untuk menulis. Santri yang sudah mulai aktif dalam membuat karya tulisan berupa cerpen dan mengimplementasikan apa yang telah didapatkan dalam pembelajaran unttuk selanjutnya diterapkan di kehidupan sehari-hari. Pendidikan karakter diambil melalui penulisan cerpen, dikarenakan penulisan cerpen dipandang sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk menyampaikan nilai tersebut. Kesimpulannya, dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat meningkatkan karakter santri dalam berkehidupan masyarakat.
