Transformation of chlorobenzene and 4-chlorophenol in groundwater by electro-fenton and sono-electro-fenton reactions

Abstract: The study investigates degradation of CB in groundwater by palladium (Pd)-catalyzed EF reaction in both batch and plug flow column reactors. In both reactors, Pd-catalyzed EF was initiated via in-situ electrochemical formation of hydrogen peroxide supported by Pd catalyst. Depending on the reactor, different types of catalysts were used: Pd on alumina powder, Pd on alumina pellets (Pd/Al2O3), and palladized polyacrylic acid (PAA)
