Transformability of Group H Streptococcus Challis

Abstract: Two types of hemolysis, α and β were formed by group H streptococcus wild type strain Challis on horse blood agar, and both of the hemolytic markers could be transformed in each. α‐Hemolysis‐acquired transformants lost the competence‐provoking factor producibility (CPF–).
