Business process improvement evaluation enables performance indicators to be used alongside process improvement techniques in order to quantitatively compare measurement information between the as-is and to-be processes. Limitations of the present methods of business process improvement indicate there is scope for looking at the problem in a different way. Business processes are commonly modelled as diagrams which at their fundamental level are complex networks. This suggests the question as to whether complex network analysis (CNA) has anything to contribute to business process improvement. We develop a technique of projecting a business process model onto the sub-space of a complex network and identify the measurable concepts that can be useful in business process improvement. The measurable concepts from CNA are combined with Time and Cost metrics from the simulation technique to visualize and track improvement efforts and satisfy improvement requirements. Other authors have favored metrics such as quality [6], complexity [7], the Quadrangle comprising of Time, Cost, Quality and Flexibility [8].

Sea transportation is one of the major transportation in the scope of transport industry and plays important role towards the growth of performance in the industry that involves the movement of good (MOG). With the crucial operations, it is also essential to concern about the employee’s welfare, such as long working hours that occurred due to non-systematic procedure for the MOG. The long working hours been potentitially impact to the psychological factors of works stress and physical and health effects. Therefore, this research is important to be studied in order to develop the simulation model on MOG in sea freight for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), effectively and efficiency. Initially, this research is startup by defining all existed activities with the duration as required. Subsequently, the business model of MOG in sea freight is developed according to the case study in order to develop the simulation model. This research is give a guide for future research towards providing a well-computer-based by applying the decision support system, especially to manage and control the movement of goods in sea freight.

<p>Basically, multi processes and activities involve in the piping construction (PC) projects needs to be followed before the project is handed over to the customer or client, called multi-project construction environment (MPCE). In PC, the MPCEs exist where more than one project is managed simultaneously within an organization become as a common phenomenon faced by managers that highly possible to face with uncertainty issues, lead to project completion late delivery (PCLD). Dealing with uncertainty in MPCE is a common, though managing uncertainty in PC become more complicated rather that others industry. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to develop the simulation logic model to deal with the uncertainty for PC projects that focused on environmental issues (EI). This result will be proceed for uncertainty model development in the next phase of this research. The simulation logic model development began with qualitative data collection towards the case study, to get all the activities throughout the water supply company. Then, the business model is developed with 14 activities before integrated with the uncertainty factors in EI. The integration of business model and uncertainty factors generated the simulation logic model as main contribution. Once the uncertainty model completely developed, it will provide a medium for PC that confront with MPCE to monitor the uncertainties and prepared to encounter any matters in future. Therefore, it is important to pursue in providing the PC company to all inclusive-model, and helping them in managing and tackling the uncertainty, especially for EI.</p>
