Towards confidence in numerical modeling of ice stream cycling

Abstract: <p>Some ice sheets and glaciers experience long quiescent periods interspersed with short periods of rapid ice advance, such as the binge-purge-type cycling hypothesized to be associated with Heinrich Events.
