Towards computer aided specification of analog components

Abstract: This paper presents a knowledge based approach to computer aided specification of analog and digital components. It provides support and control for the development of requirement specifications and environment descriptions as well as for high level system description. As this approach is intended to support micrcsystem designs, it provides 8 unique specification model for analog, digital, optoelectronical, actuator and sensor components. Object-oriented data representation and rule-based 'consistency checking… Show more

“…Co-design of such systems requires a special tool which could cover both analog and digital domain reflecting some technological constraints. Though Co-design problem has been developed and disussed over a decade [3,4,5], there seem to be no universal tools available so far in order to carry out a whole design process (unlike tools for fully digital designs). However, there are some software available on the market, which might realize a single step of a design process (e.g.…”

“…It is important to focus on automation of design procedure and some certain upgrades in area of mixed-signal circuits synthesis [2,4]. Similarly SEECOM is strongly focused on the first step of the whole design process, which is component selection and system synthesis.…”
