“…Similar effects of TGP were reported in psoriatic arthritis patients and rheumatoid arthritis mice (Lin et al, 2012). TGP also could reduce the severity of skin inflammation through decreasing the production of IL-17 but increasing the production of IL-4 and IL-10 in the serum and lymphocyte supernatant of mice with allergic contact dermatitis (Wang et al, 2015).…”

“…TGP has been well known for a long time for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. It regulates inflammation responses by reducing lymphocytes proliferation, activation and cytokine secretion including IL-10, IL-2, IL-4, IL-17 and so on (Chen et al, 2008;Wang et al, 2015;Xu et al, 2014). So, based on the above report, we speculated that TGP might have regulatory effects on B lymphocytes in tumor microenvironment.…”

“…Firstly, TGP has bidirectional regulatory effects on T lymphocytes and tends to favour immune cell balance [37]. It may adjust the balance of Th1/Th2 cytokines by decreasing proinflammatory cytokines and increasing anti-inflammatory cytokines [38, 39]. In addition, TGP can inhibit maturation and activation of dendritic cells, which leads to impaired Th1/Th17 differentiation in vivo and downregulation of the Th1/Th17 inflammatory response [40, 41].…”
