Topical Estrogen Treatment Augments the Vaginal Response to Escherichia coli Flagellin

Abstract: The female climacteric or menopausal process characterised by reduced estrogen, associates with an increased risk of recurrent urinary tract infections (rUtis) linked to uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC).
