Tolerance Redistributing of the Reassembly Dimensional Chain on Measure of Uncertainty

Abstract: How to use the limited precision of remanufactured parts to assemble higher-quality remanufactured products is a challenge for remanufacturing engineering under uncertainty. On the basis of analyzing the uncertainty of remanufacturing parts, this paper takes tolerance redistributing of the reassembly (remanufactured assembly) dimensional chain as the research object. An entropy model to measure the uncertainty of assembly dimensional is built, and we quantify the degree of the uncertainty gap between reassembl… Show more

“…These dimensions directly impact the dimensional range or basic dimensions of the components. If the closed loop and constituent loop are represented as functions, with the closed loop as the dependent variable and the constituent loop as the independent variable, the functional expression of the dimensional chain is given by Equation (4) [32]:…”

“…The most significant feature of the external environment faced by firms is its own and subjectively perceived indeterminacy, and the complex external environment affects the decision preferences of firm managers and, consequently, the direction of their innovation activities. Environmental uncertainty negatively affects the performance of innovative firms (Liu, 2016). Scholars have also researched the moderating role of environmental uncertainty between external involvement and product innovation (Zhao et al, 2018).…”

“…Existing assembly error evaluation methods mainly include the tolerance analysis method [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ] and finite element analysis [ 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 ]. In precision assembly, surface topography errors in the parts are unavoidable and cause assembly error.…”
