OpenAI developed ChatGPT, an AI-powered conversational agent platform that has the potential to revolutionize how people interact with technology. The study intends to determine the crucial features of ChatGPT in different sectors. Moreover, it identifies the prospective sectors of ChatGPT usage along with the challenges of using it in diverse areas. This study employs qualitative approaches, with a primary focus on utilizing secondary sources as the main data sources. Using PRISMA-based guidelines, this research applied specific keywords relevant to the primary objective of the inquiry, such as ChatGPT, characteristics, potential domains, and obstacles. Program developers, call centers, tourism education, digital marketing, mental health education, etc. have mainly benefited from utilizing ChatGPT from Bangladeshi perspectives. This study presents a set of standard features and challenges to gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental mechanism of utilizing ChatGPT.

With the growth of Artificial Intelligence technologies, there is interest in studying their potential impact on university academic writing courses. This study examined whether AI tools are replacing these courses by exploring how they effectively replace traditional academic writing instruction and this shift’s potential benefits and drawbacks. The researcher reviewed existing literature on integrating AI tools into academic writing instruction. The findings provide insights to educators navigating the integration of Artificial Intelligence tools into writing curricula while maintaining instructional quality and academic integrity standards. By synthesizing the latest research, this study can inform decisions about the appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching essential writing skills. Increased use of Artificial Intelligence writing tools has sparked debate about their role in academic writing instruction. Universities like Stanford have updated policies around Artificial Intelligence tool usage and academic integrity. The University of California issued guidance acknowledging the prevalence of generative Artificial Intelligence on campuses. Middlebury College banned classroom use of ChatGPT over concerns it could impede critical thinking and writing skill development. Results show that while Artificial Intelligence helps with grammar and style, questions remain about its impact on creativity and critical thinking. However, Artificial Intelligence is not replacing university writing courses. These courses teach critical thinking, research, citation, argumentation, creativity, originality, and ethics, which Artificial Intelligence lacks. Academic writing courses offer a complete learning experience. Artificial Intelligence may improve academic writing but is unlikely to replace traditional courses soon. A balanced approach integrating Artificial Intelligence support while preserving core elements of academic writing education appears most effective for preparing students for diverse writing challenges.

The Internet is an important source of information and is a real ecosystem for learning that has provided important advances in education, although it has also generated problems, especially in terms of data security, identity theft, and cyber-plagiarism. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we had the opportunity to check levels of development in terms of infrastructures and digital competence, and subsequently detected serious problems in online assessment. In particular, the behaviour and digital competence of future teachers are essential, as they will inevitably be role models for their students. The present study analyses academic cyber-plagiarism derived from digital ecosystems during the pandemic in the academic work of pre-service teachers, advancing studies and warnings regarding Artificial Intelligence as a new learning ecosystem. A validated online questionnaire is used that considers the digital context surrounding training both during and after the pandemic. For the factor analysis, both descriptive and correlational, 324 responses from three Spanish universities are analysed. The confirmatory factor analysis reports four factors: the digital context of the pandemic as an opportunity for plagiarism, the response of the educational community to plagiarism, and both the unconscious and intentional misuse of sources. It is concluded that the digital context of the pandemic provided an opportunity for academic plagiarism, conscious or unconscious, with a clear distinction according to gender and the degree of reference. Finally, it is recommended to promote students’ digital skills to avoid risks such as cyber-plagiarism or authorship theft, using institutional repositories that can provide students with prominence by safely and ethically publishing their intellectual creations. Similarly, national policies are required to address advances in AI in education.
