Tilted LCD Pixel With Liquid Crystal GRIN Lens for Two-Dimensional/Three-Dimensional Switchable Display

Abstract: In this paper, high images quality switchable two-dimensional (2-D)/3-D display is achieved by carefully matching the high-resolution liquid crystal display (LCD) pixel structure and liquid crystal graded index (GRIN) lens. A parallelogram LCD pixel structure is proposed, in which the edges of each sub-pixels are slanted.
