“…The sigmoidal cross-strata are generated by migration of linguoid ripples (Baas and de Koning, 1995) or 'humpback ripples' (Sunderson and Lockett, 1983), formed at higher tidal flow velocity than the laterally accreted bundles (Kreisa and Moiola, 1986;Bhattacharya et al, 2012). Thickness variation of the foresets with variable mud thickness and abundance of double mud drapes suggest fluctuations caused by diurnal inequality under predominantly semidiurnal tidal system (Greb and Martino, 2005;Kvale, 2006Kvale, , 2012.
