“…The relationship between the arc behavior and the AMF distribution was researched with a view to increase interruption ability by preventing local heating of the electrode. A high‐speed video camera was used to observe the arc behavior, a high‐sensitivity charge‐coupled device (CCD) camera to measure the temperature distribution of the anode surface and a Hall effect element measurement system and three‐dimensional magnetic field calculation to determine the magnetic flux density distribution between electrodes [3–5].
