We describe a correspondence between domain wall solutions of Einstein gravity with a single scalar field and self-interaction potential. The correspondence we call conformal scale factor inversion (CSFI) is a map comprising the inversion of the scale factor in conformal coordinates, and a transformation of the field and its potential which preserves the form of the Einstein equations for static and isotropic domain walls. By construction, CSFI maps the asymptotic anti-de Sitter boundary to the vicinity of a naked singularity in a theory with a special Liouville (exponential) scalar field potential; it is also a map in the parameter space of exponential potentials. The correspondence can be extended to linear fluctuations, being akin to an S-duality, and can be interpreted in terms of "SUSY quantum mechanics" for the fluctuation modes. The holographic implementation of CSFI relates the UV and IR regimes of a pair of holographic renormalization group flows; in particular, it is a symmetry of the GPPZ flow.

We describe a scale factor duality (SFD) for domain wall (DW) spacetimes in Einstein gravity with a single scalar field and self-interaction potential. The duality comprises a scale factor inversion, mapping large scales to small scales, and a transformation of the field and its potential which preserves the form of the first-order BPS system for static and isotropic DWs. By construction, SFD maps the asymptotic AdS boundary to the vicinity of a naked singularity in the dual theory with a special Liouville (exponential) scalar field potential. The holographic implementation of SFD relates the dual pair of domain walls to a dual pair of the corresponding holographic renormalization group flows, with a map between their UV and IR regimes. We consider a few examples and show that SFD is a symmetry of the GPPZ flow. We also demonstrate how SFD can be extended to act on the tensor perturbation modes in general, and on the scalar perturbation modes in the particular case of exponential potentials.

In this paper, a cosmological model with linear equation of state in the framework of General relativity is studied. We explore the thermodynamical aspects of the cosmological model with equilibrium description. In particular, we discuss the validity of generalized second law of thermodynamics for resulting cosmologies. General conditions for this model to satisfy the slow roll conditions for inflation are discussed.
