Thermodynamic view on decision-making process: emotions as a potential power vector of realization of the choice

Abstract: This research is devoted to possible mechanisms of decision-making in frames of thermodynamic principles. It is also shown that the decision-making system in reply to emotion includes vector component which seems to be often a necessary condition to transfer system from one state to another. The phases of decision-making system can be described as supposed to be nonequilibrium and irreversible to which thermodynamics laws are applied. The mathematical model of a decision choice, proceeding from principles of t… Show more

“…When consumers shop on an online platform, often, behavioral science method is used to analyze consumer purchase intention. However, with the development in the field of cognitive neuroscience, an increasing number of researchers have started using cognitive neuroscience tools to solve behavioral science questions (Layne et al 2007;Pakhomov and Sudin 2013). For example, Kong et al (2013) used cognitive neuroscience to study the influence of video commercials on consumers on the basis of impression index, and Farwell and Richardson (2013) used brain fingerprinting to detect concealed information stored in the brain by measuring brainwave responses.…”

“…Currently, the main coding technologies include perceptual coding, phase coding, frequency coding and population coding etc. (Johnson 2004;Nirenberg and Latham 2003;Victor 1999;Rokem et al 2006;Liu et al 2010;Xie and Wang 2013;Pakhomov and Sudin 2013). However, these neural coding theories have many difficulties in studying neural encoding and decoding in the brain (McLaughlin 2009;Gopathy Purushothanman & David 2005).The main reason is that these coding theories are local and regional, and do not cross influence of large-scale neurological activities.…”

“…S druge pak strane, neki mladi koji se nisu obvezali na promjenu upravo ističu kako se doživljavaju premladima za mijenjanje vlastitog ponašanja. Drugim riječima, neki mladi vlastite postupke i odluke opravdavaju nedovoljnom zrelošću/ starošću da bi se promijenili ili pak imaju doživljaj kako dolazak u određene godine zahtijeva smirivanje i promjenu ponašanja: »Ja više nisam dijete od 16 …”
