Densities, ρ 123 , and speeds of sound, u 123 , of 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (1) + 2-methylaniline (2) + pyridine or α-, β-, or γ-picoline (3) ternary mixtures have been measured over the entire range of composition at 293.15 K, 298.15 K, 303.15 K, and 308.15 K using density and speed of sound analyzer (Anton Paar DSA 5000). The heat capacity, C p , of pure liquids pyridine and α-, β-, and γ-picoline have also been measured at 293.15 K, 298.15 K, 303.15 K, and 308.15 K using differential scanning calorimeter. The measured data have been employed to determine excess molar volumes, V 123 E and excess isentropic compressibilities,(κ S E ) 123 . The V 123 E and(κ S E ) 123 data have been fitted to Redlich−Kister equation to calculate ternary adjustable parameters and standard deviations. The thermodynamic properties of the ternary mixtures have been analyzed in terms of Graph (which deals with the topology of the constituent of mixtures) and Prigogine-Flory-Patterson (PFP) theories. It has been observed that Graph theory describes well V 123 E and (κ S E ) 123 data of the studied ternary ionic liquid mixtures. However, PFP theory correctly predicts the sign of V 123 E and (κ S E ) 123 data of the studied mixtures.

The densities ρ, speeds of sound u, and molar heat capacities C P of tetrahydropyran or 1,4-dioxane (1) + cyclohexanone or cycloheptanone (2) mixtures at 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, and 308.15 K, and excess molar enthalpies, H E at 308.15 K and atmospheric pressure 0.1 MPa have been measured over the entire composition range. The excess molar volumes V E, excess isentropic compressibilities κS E, and excess heat capacities, C P E of the studied mixtures have been determined using the measured experimental data. The observed V E, κS E, H E, and C P E data have been tested in terms of graph theory. The analyses of V E data by graph theory suggest that while tetrahydropyran or 1,4-dioxane exists as a mixture of monomer and dimer; cyclohexanone or cycloheptanone exists as a mixture of open and cyclic dimer. Further, (1 + 2) mixtures are characterized by interactions between oxygen atom/s and hydrogen atom of tetrahydropyran or 1,4-dioxane with hydrogen atom/s and oxygen atom of cyclohexanone or cycloheptanone. The quantum mechanical calculations and analysis of IR spectral data of (1 + 2) mixtures also support this viewpoint. It has been observed that graph theory correctly predicts the V E, κS E, H E, and C p E data of the present mixtures.

Acoustical and excess thermo physical properties of 2methylcyclohexanone with O-chloroaniline, O-toluidine explored at varying temperatures (303.15 -318.15 K) and close gas pressure by evaluating speed of sound (u), density (ρ) and viscosity (η) over the total vary of composition. The trend in the acoustical and excess thermo acoustic parameters exhibit the existence of hydrogen-bonded and charge transfer complexes between the binary system. The variation of the excess parameters both in sign and magnitude in the full range of composition investigated. These results were fitted to Redlich-Kister polynomial equations to estimate the binary coefficients and standard errors. The partial and excess partial molar volumes for each component at infinite dilution have been appraised and reported.
