A bstract Aims Clinical and radiographic evaluation of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), TheraCal LC, and propolis when used as an indirect pulp capping agent in primary teeth over a period of 6 months. Materials and methods A total of 42 primary molar teeth from children aged 4–10 years were chosen for the study. The teeth were divided equally into three groups (group I: MTA, group II: light cured calcium silicate, and group III: propolis). The teeth were followed up clinically and radiographically at 3 and 6 months. The teeth that showed successful treatment outcomes clinically and radiographically were evaluated for the amount of dentin bridge formed at the end of 3 and 6 months, which was measured using CorelDRAW software. The data obtained was analyzed statistically using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21. Results The mean change in dentin thickness from baseline to 3 months in group II was found to be the highest, followed by groups I and III. The mean change in dentin thickness from 3 months to 6 months was highest in group I, followed by groups III and II. The mean change in dentin thickness from baseline to 6 months in group II was found to be significantly higher than that of group I, followed by group III. Conclusion Clinically and radiographically, all three materials showed favorable outcomes when used as an indirect pulp capping material with significant reparative dentin formation. The highest amount of dentin deposition was recorded with light-cured calcium silicate, followed by MTA and propolis, respectively. How to cite this article Saikia D, Yadav G, Saha S, et al. Now-a-days, the most occurring problem is hair fall, so the main aim of the study is to reduce hair fall and promote hair growth. The main ingredient in this study is fermented rice water (Oryza sativa) which contains many antioxidants when compared to the plain rice water. Inositol is the major constituent which helps in decreasing hair fall. The herbal shampoo was formulated using some of the traditional herbs like Hibiscus-rosa-sinensis, Phyllanthus emblica, Aloe vera, Trigonella foenum graceum along with fermented rice water in different concentrations and evaluated for various parameters. The prepared herbal shampoo was evaluated with physico-chemical parameters like pH, foam formation, dirt dispersion, surface tension, viscosity and wetting test. The results states that the herbal shampoo possess the following characteristics such as good foam ability, good cleansing, low surface tension, viscosity and soothing property. The evaluation results of the herbal shampoo had shown better results, which is ideal to use, safe and effective in the treatment of hair fall. Keywords: Herbal shampoo, Oryza sativa, Hair fall.

Intermittent Fasting (IF) has been practiced for centuries with the belief of wellbeing getting restored. The so-called restoration of internal milieu by calorie free periods is believed in many religions. The Muslims practise the night-only-feeds of Ramzan, the Christians in a few selected days of a week and the Hindus fasting every fifteen days on the day of Ekadashi1. Ekadashi is a Sanskrit word, which literally means 'the eleventh'. It actually refers to the eleventh day of a fortnight and hence there are two such days in a lunar month. After the full calorie free day, there are certain prescribed foods and nutrients to be taken the next day of Dwadashi among which amla fruit and agathi keerai leaves are necessarily taken as a starter before actual full-fledged refeeding. There are a few specific ingredients in these foods which make them ideal to break a fasting session2. As these days are associated with the Hindu deities such nutrition can be designed as spiritual nutrition. Such additives to routine diet may help overcome the problems of refeeding. In this review we have attempted to define the scientific basis of fasting during Ekadashi and the reasoning behind the initial administration of agathi keerai leaves and amla fruits before the intake of routine diet on the following day.i.e. Dwadashi. We tried to look for scientific evidences behind such fortnightly fasting and the specialized feeds on the next day and kept them as objectives of this special review
