“…No clinical benefit has been proved with topical administration of progesterone and testosterone (1). Photodynamic therapy has been described in the literature as an effective therapeutic alternative in vulvar LS in adult women, with significant improvement in both clinical appearance and quality of life (2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8)(9)(10)(11). This work shows our experience with 8 patients with severe vulvar lichen sclerosus et atrophicus undergoing photodynamic therapy using methyl aminolevulinate and 635-nm light.…”
