Therapeutic Effects Evaluation of Vitamin E Alone and in Combination With Ranitidine in Stress – Induced Gastric Ulcers in Rats

Abstract: It is noteworthy to examine the efficacies of vitamin E and its combination with an antagonist of histamine receptor 2 in the treatment of stress gastric ulcers. Animals were divided into 6 groups; group 1 (normal control), group 2 (Coldrestraint stress; CRS), group 3 (ranitidine 20 mg/kg), group 4 (vitamin E 100 mg/kg), group 5 (ranitidine 10 mg/kg + vitamin E 50 mg/kg ), group 6 (ranitidine 5 mg/kg + vitamin E 50 mg/kg ).
