This study examined the cost of substance use disorders treatment in a large healthcare organization. A survival analysis demonstrated that family therapy utilised the least number of sessions (M = 2.41) when treating substance use disorders followed by individual therapy (M = 3.38) and mixed therapy (M = 6.40). Family therapy was the least costly of the three types, at $124.55 per episode of care for a client, with individual therapy costing $170.22 and mixed therapy $319.55. The ratio of family therapists utilising family therapy was more than three to one compared to other licensed professionals. The percentages of clients coming back for more than one episode of care are fewest for family therapy (8.9%) followed by mixed therapy (9.5%) and individual therapy (12.0%).

Pantai pelancongan Cenang sering menjadi tumpuan pelancong kerana daya tarikan alam semulajadi pantai dan kemudahan pembangunan di sekitarnya. Oleh sebab itu, kedua-dua buah destinasi tersebut tetap menjadi salah satu kunjungan wajib para pelancong terutamanya pelancong keluarga untuk bercuti dan lari daripada kesibukan ibu kota. Trend aktiviti pelancongan pantai ini semakin berterusan berikutan peningkatan permintaan terhadap alam semulajadi dalam kalangan penduduk berkeluarga di bandar-bandar besar terutamanya di negara-negara Eropah dan Barat. Malaysia juga tidak terkecuali. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti cirian dan pola kunjungan berdasarkan segmen pelancong keluarga domestik ke Pantai Chenang, Pulau Langkawi. Kajian ini dijalankan melalui kaedah kuantitatif iaitu menggunakan borang soal selidik yang diedarkan di sekitar Pantai Chenang. Teknik pensampelan secara kebetulan digunakan bagi sampel kajian dan sebanyak 350 borang soal selidik yang telah mendapat maklum balas daripada pelancong keluarga domestik yang berada di sekitar Pantai Chenang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang ketara dalam setiap aktiviti yang dilakukan mengikut segmen cirian pelancong keluarga yang berkunjung. Pelancong keluarga menunjukkan bahawa setiap aktiviti yang dilakukan oleh mereka melibatkan kesemua ahli keluarga dan memainkan peranan masing-masing tidak kira sebelum ke pantai, semasa di pantai sehinggalah pulang dari pantai.

Carr (2011), em sua revisão sistemática, apontou como resultado um crescimento dos conhecimentos na área de terapia familiar sistêmica, abarcando diversos problemas infantojuvenis e de adultos. Rutter (2000), por sua vez, afirmou que investigações empíricas rigorosas criados para testar a mediação do meio ambiente mostraram que fatores familiares negativos ou negligência carregavam riscos psicopatológicos importantes para o desenvolvimento de crianças e adolescentes.…”

Este estudo objetivou mostrar a experiência clínica de uma psicóloga que realiza Terapia Familiar em um ambulatório de saúde mental público em uma cidade do estado do Rio de Janeiro. O relato de experiência realça a importância do trabalho multidisciplinar e intersetorial realizado na rede de cuidados como estratégia para alcançar, especificamente, maior resolutividade nos casos clínicos. Para exemplificar a experiência, foi apresentado o caso clínico da família de Vivian: brasileira, afrodescendente, baixo nível socioeconômico, dependente dos serviços essenciais da rede pública e vivendo uma crise de violência doméstica. A terapia familiar focalizou-se no subsistema mãe-filhos a fim de estimular os recursos existentes entre os membros, visando o apoio mútuo em contexto amplamente adverso do início da pandemia do Sars-Cov-2. Num momento de reestruturação familiar, a mãe optou pela proteção aos filhos, rompendo um relacionamento de 17 anos pautado pela opressão e violência. Na contingência da pandemia do Covid-19, o vínculo terapêutico com a psicóloga e a articulação com outros profissionais da rede intersetorial possibilitaram o cuidado emergencial a essa família por meio de sessões regulares, incluindo atendimento remoto.
