Волинський національний університет імені Лесі Українки АУДІОВІЗУАЛЬНИЙ ПЕРЕКЛАД: ОСНОВНІ ВИДИ ТА ОСОБЛИВОСТІ У статті розглядається переклад аудіовізуальних текстів як особливий вид перекладацької діяльності. Цей вид перекладу вважається перекладознавцями специфічним з огляду на його особливості, видову типологію (субтитрування та дублювання), певні переваги та недоліки, що й диктують низку перекладацьких завдань, які мусять вирішувати перекладачі під час передачі тематики, персонажного мовлення та особистісних стосунків, що розкриваються у серіалах та фільмах. Інтерес до перекладу кіно-та відеотекстів у перекладознавстві з'явився порівняно недавно. Переклад аудіовізуальних текстів є досить затребуваним видом перекладацької діяльності, адже іноземні фільми займають значну частину відеоринку в Україні і з'являється потреба адаптації для зручності перегляду україномовних глядачів. З'ясовано, що аудіовізуальний переклад має вираження у різноманітті форм. Шляхи його реалізації є такими: переклад для закадрового озвучення, переклад для субтитрування, переклад для дублювання. Виявлено та проаналізовано особливості субтитрування та дублювання як основних видів аудіовізуального перекладу. Охарактеризовано переваги та недоліки різних підвидів аудіовізуального перекладу та зроблено відповідні класифікації вищевказаних видів аудіовізуального перекладу. У статті охарактеризовано різноманітність видів аудіовізуального перекладу, яка не може не вражати. За такої варіативності постає проблема якості такого виду перекладу, адже кожен з указаних типів аудіовізуального перекладу вимагає спеціально підготовлених фахівців, які повинні досконало розбиратися у специфіці та особливостях роботи у тому чи іншому різновиді аудіовізуального перекладу. Проаналізувавши дослідження вітчизняних та зарубіжних учених, зроблено висновок, що аудіовізуальний переклад -це особливий вид перекладу, оскільки його неможливо віднести ні до усного, ні до письмового перекладу.

The translation of multilingual theatre presents challenges since it queries the generally accepted definition(s) and characteristics of translation as a process and as a product. To date, much research has been carried out with regards to multilingual translation and theatre translation separately, but less on both (multilingual theatre translation), thus doubling the challenge. The aim of this study is to examine the different strategies, techniques and thought processes involved in solving the challenges encountered in the translation of the multilingual play Requiem for the Last Kaiser (1998), written by the Cameroonian playwright Bate Besong and recounting the population's uprising against a dictatorship in a neo-colonial country. This study identifies these challenges and compares the strategies and techniques used to translate the multilingual occurrences in Requiem for the Last Kaiser to those currently recommended in Translation theory as well as by practitioners.
