The Utility of Early Tongue Reduction Surgery for Macroglossia in Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome

Abstract: Background: Macroglossia, a cardinal feature of the (epi)genetic disorder Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome, is associated with obstructive sleep apnea, speech and/or feeding difficulties, and dental or jaw malalignment.
