“…The results of this intensive study have demonstrated a great prospect of induced follicular wave emergence treatments combined with super-ovulatory conventions. A similar superovulation study in Nelore (beef cows) conducted in Brazil has produced comparable results ( Andrade et al., 2003 ).…”

“…The range of TE among the different groups was 4–6 per donor per collection. Another study on Nelore (beef) cows has produced a higher mean number of TE with CIDR-GnRH treatment without considering the estrous cycle stage ( Andrade et al., 2003 ). However, the TEs production in beef cows is generally higher as compared to dairy cows.…”

“…However, successful embryo transfer requires oestrus synchronization between donors and recipients to facilitate the procedure and increase the rate of pregnancy. Andrade et al [8] evaluated the superovulatory response and embryo recovery from Nelore donors following treatment with a controlled internal drug-releasing device and estradiol benzoate (CIDR-B program) at different stages of the oestrous cycle and found that a combination of steroid hormones could be used prior to superovulation in Nelore donors at any stage of the oestrous cycle without affecting the efficiency of embryo-transfer programs. As the yak is somewhat aggressive and rather difficult to handle, the present study was, therefore, designed to use CIDR-B combined with FSH to induce superovulation during uncertain stages of oestrus cycle.…”

“…Superovulation response is very important for this aim and it is one of the most critical stages in embryo transfer protocols. For this respect, it is very important to know about the factors effecting superovulation response and elimination of the negative situations (Andrade et al 2003).…”
