Abstract:The year 2011 has been proclaimed the International Year of Chemistry by the 63 rd General Assembly of the United Nations (UN). In 2011, the centennial of the awarding of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Marie Curie for her work on radioactivity will also be celebrated.
