“…This is an important observation, since the effect of elongation of dry-spun CTA fibres is not described in the literature. Only spontaneous elongation of wet-spun CTA fibres in nitromethane vapors (120-140%) [3] and insignificant elongation when the glass transition temperature was attained during linear heating (110-115%, in consideration of the initial length) were observed [23]. A feature of the effect of spontaneous elongation of CDA and CTA fibres in DMSO vapors, like CDA fibres in nitromethane vapors, is the kinetic reversibility of the process.…”
